We are actively seeking postdoctoral fellows and graduate students to work on research projects in computational genomics, with a special focus on cancer and neurological disorders.
Candidates will conceive and develop algorithms and analysis approaches to systematically interrogate genetic/epigenetic/expression data, generated both in-house and from public sources. We emphasize integration of heterogeneous data types, including RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, DNA methylation and chromatin accessibility profiles, among others. Since we are part of large inititiatives such as Q-CROQ and the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health, several projects are available for the candidate to choose from; applicants will also have the freedom to propose their own projects, as long as they fit with our general interests.
- Degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Molecular Biology, Genetics or a related field
- Unix and programming skills are essential
- Expertise within one of the following fields is an asset: Genomics, Statistics, Algorithm development or Neuroscience
